2K Unveil $99.99 WWE 2K17 NXT Special Collector's Edition

Hot on the heels of the reveal that Brock Lesnar will be the cover star of this year's WWE 2K17 release, and that Goldberg returns to the game for a special pre-order bonus, Triple H and 2K have combined to reveal details of a premium Collector's Edition of the game.

The NXT boss promised that 2K17 will be "the biggest and baddest video game for everybody that we've put out to date", unveiling the plans for the $99.99 limited edition Collector's NXT Edition, which will offer "something truly special and limited edition for our fans lucky enough to get one."

The NXT edition will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4 and XBox One and is limited to just 50,000 copies worldwide, all featuring a signature by NXT superstar Shinksuke Nakamura and all featuring a host of special content:

"To tell you a little bit about what's in WWE2K17 NXT edition, you're going to get a copy of the 2K17 video game with exclusive premium packaging. You're going to get the NXT enhancement package, which has two parts. You get playable characters like Nia Jax, like Apollo Crews, and like, the amazing and one-and-only Shinsuke Nakamura.You can also get a 50 percent boost in points earned for your players' My Career Superstar while competing in NXT. And you're going to get three awesome collectables. The first, you're going to get exclusive canvas to canvas lithograph designed by WWE artist Rob Schamberger. And it will be autographed by Shinsuke Nakamura himself.

Now, this is why there are only 50,000 units available. Shinsuke is sitting next to me right now with his hand still shaking with his carpel tunnel syndrome engaged..."

In addition to that, the Collector's Edition comes with an exclusive 8-inch collectable figure of The Demon Finn Balor and Topps NXT TakeOver London mat relic cards, which include a piece of the ring canvas and one of 14 superstars on the bill. They have one of 10 different rarity levels, so they're inevitably very collectable.

On top of that, you get the Goldberg pack announced previously as a pre-order bonus, giving you access to two playable characters of Goldberg from WCW and WWE and playable WCW Monday Nitro and Halloween Havoc arenas.
