Hollywood talent popping up in big-budget video games is nothing new, but few were probably expecting Oscar-nominated actress Angela Bassett to show up in Rainbow Six: Siege in a beautifully-rendered CGI scene. She plays Six, the director of the Rainbow Unit, and will presumably have an intermittent role interacting with the player during downtime between missions. Bassett even came out onto the stage for a few minutes to talk about the role and how she prepared for the part, in what was one of the most interesting parts of the show. The game's outlook still seems very mixed to many gamers, but recruiting such a talented actress is unquestionably a win for it moving forward.
