One of the main character's companions, the charismatic dwarf is a rogue that really likes to talk and maintains a quite reliable spy network. When used effectively, Varric is an important asset, although his easy-going nature and constant ironic comments may be a pain from time to time. A feature in both Dragon age II and Inquisition, one can learn quite a lot about this funny but able rogue.
Being the youngest son of a disgraced noble family in Orzammar and going from The Palace to being a merchant and spy, Varric has quite the origin story that would surely offer an interesting spin to the series.
