5 Most Anticipated Open-World Games Of 2017

2. Honorable Mentions

Red dead redemption 2
Cloudgine

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Despite the undeniable anticipation for its release, we ultimately still have no clue how ME:A will be presented. In other words, if it's like the original trilogy, the game technically will not be open-world. If it is like Dragon Age: Inquisition, however, then MEA could be a contender for the most anticipated open-world game.

Crackdown 3

The Crackdown series has been silent for seven years now. While definitely anticipated for its 2017 release, and even with its positive reviews and critical acclaim, the Crackdown series has always had more of a niche audience. Due to it not being widely known, it had to be excluded from the list.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

The fear is that Ubisoft has pulled another Watch_Dogs on gamers with the newest Ghost Recon installation. Original reveals hyped gamers up (thanks to the use of Imagine Dragons' Friction), but further gameplay reveal trailers have made fans feel more anxious than excited, lowering the overall anticipation for the game's release.
