3. Optional Online
Unlike the original 360 which was usable offline since its arrival in 2005, the Xbox One requires a software update to disable the DRM features that were originally present in the initial build of the console. The Xbox 360 was and is perfectly functional without the internet, something that's very annoying to find the in Xbox One especially with households that do not have unlimited data plans. The "always-online" connection setup was the original design for the console. The 360 on the other hand goes strong without it, being able to use the entire console and all its basic functions without initially connecting to the internet imagine forking out on a brand-new console for £425 to find out your internet suddenly buggered up and you're left with an expensive door-stop. Don't worry though; your 360 will still work completely fine!
