5 Reasons Modern Gamers Struggle To Get Girlfriends

1. There's No Achievement For It

Modern games force gamers through some incredibly tough and challenging scenarios. Along the way will experience frustration, despair and even annoyance. They may decide to turn their back once or twice, thinking the challenge insurmountable. Inevitably, though, they will almost always return and their eventual success will be even sweeter. And the prize for such a feat? An achievement or trophy, of course! Modern gamers are driven through the campaigns and challenges of video games spurred on by the knowledge that their progress and eventual victory will see them rewarded with various achievements along the way, and a particularly impressive one at the end. This kind of challenge ensures gamers will see out the challenges set before them and helps to focus their will to succeed by offering these desirable incentives along the way. And so what is the biggest reason modern gamers struggle to get girlfriends? There's no achievement for it. There's no trophy when you ask a girl out and she says "yes", you don't get 200 points added to your gamerscore for successfully wooing someone at your local nightclub. Everyone except for our inventive friend above has to settle simply for the success of the feat itself, and know that no higher power is monitoring their progress and dishing out prizes once they make it into a relationship. Gamers are motivated almost entirely by a desire to succeed so that others can see this success. The absence of any guiding hand it's hard to see where the motivation comes from... But that's the biggest gamer flaw of all. Modern gamers succeed at their games because they are supposed to, not because of any particular skill or prowess. Developers guide us through the challenges of every modern game and we scarcely have to figure anything out for ourselves. Sadly it's not like that in the real world, but it's worth the work to figure it all out; a trophy on your arm is far more impressive than anything you'll get on the Playstation! So there you have it; five things that are holding modern gamers back from getting girlfriends. The flaws that make us modern gamers are also the things holding us back romantically. If we can learn to control these when we're away from the console, we may just have a chance to change the record. Good luck to you all, and if anyone out there does win over a real life Lara Croft then you can just go right to hell.
