50 Memorable Moments That Defined The Last Gaming Generation

16. The Lighthouse Family

Bioshock Infinite I'd say I spent a good fifteen minutes or so after Bioshock Infinite ended staring at the screen trying to make sense of what I'd just seen. I knew it was pretty special of course, but the sheer amount of mind-bending plot twists that I'd just processed appeared to have drained by cranial fluid and turned my brain into a mush. So I turned to the net, and found countless other people in the same boat. Via the medium of a few genius people we then all made sense of what had just happened, and our brains returned to their former state of normalcy. There's literally no way anyone could have predicted this ending was coming. The most memorable moment of it all, however, is Elizabeth teleporting Booker directly into Rapture, revealing the connections between the original Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite.

15. Everything Trevor Ever Said/Did

Trevor Gta V He may have been absolutely psychotic, had more than his fair share of issues and a bizarre hairstyle, but Trevor Phillips was the true hightlight of GTA V. That's high praise as well - GTA V was impeccable from start to finish. Whether he's chasing around a person on a scooter shouting 'SCOOTER BROTHERS!', waking up under a rock in only his underpants or throwing randomers off a bridge for no apparent reason, Trevor was the fun character that GTA so badly needed. Whereas Michael was the stoic professional and Franklin was the traditional gang member, Trevor channeled the spirit of the rampage and seemed to encourage you to act completely stupid everytime you played as him. Poor Mr Raspberry Jam though.

14. Maniacal Little Robot

Wheatley Portal 2 If you'd played Portal 1, playing Portal 2 was like returning to finish off unfinished business. In this case, unfinished business was helping to destroy GLaDOS, Aperture Science's crazy AI construct, for good. This was to be accomplished by helping about Wheatley, an eccentric little robot fella lovingly voiced by Stephen Merchant. He was crazy, timid and possibly a bit bonkers from being left alone in a facility for years, but the true memorable moment came when you defeated GLaDOS, popped Wheatley into the construct and... The little bugger turned on you and used his new powers to try to kill you. He also forged GLaDOS' personality into a potato, which was a stroke of genius.
