London has been taken over in Watch Dogs : Legion. Here are six reasons you should give it a go.

Watch Dogs: Legion hit the shelves this week with largely positive reviews, as the open world series takes to the streets of London like no title has done before.

The third title in Ubisoft's series sees players control an endless number of playable characters hacking your way through the city. Set in a futuristic capital which has been transformed into a police state, you join the hacking group DedSec following a series of attacks across the city that you have been blamed for.

The Watch Dogs series is very different from any other open world title with many unique elements for players. While the first two games were successful, this is by far its biggest upheaval to date. It has a direct rival with the impending release of Cyberpunk 2077, meaning there has been extra pressure on Ubisoft to deliver.

Watch Dogs Legion is far from perfect and has plenty of bugs that will hopefully be patched in the coming weeks and months. However, it is still a groundbreaking title in many ways. Here are six reasons why you should give Watch Dogs Legion a try.

6. London Looks And Feels Spectacular

Watch Dogs Legion is set in London, a location that hasn't been used that often in video games. The PlayStation 2 title The Getaway was set in England's capital 18 years ago, but since then there has been little based on these shores with locations in gaming often being across the other side of the Atlantic.

Set in a futuristic post Brexit UK, Watch Dogs Legion is the best video game interpretation of the city we have ever seen. Lots of the most iconic landmarks are shown in all their glory from Buckingham Palace to the London Eye, while the tube stops act as your fast travel locations dotted around the map.

However, it is the little details and the differences in each of the districts that will make anyone that has visited the city feel at home. London is split up into eight of these districts including Camden, City of Westminster and Islington & Hackney, with each incredibly unique.

While visually some of the characters and animations fail at times in Legion, the backdrop and locations are perfect. For many Londoners, the highlight will simply be exploring the city you know and love in all its glory.
