4. The Persona Series

Just look at it! It’s pretty weird to remember that this beautiful slice of delish is a spin off from the Megami Tensai franchise, which itself is serving of hot damn.

As a relative newcomer to the Persona series, I’ve lapped up 3, 4 and 5 like they were mothers ruin, and have even dabbled in the dancing game spin off versions of them. It’s so hard not to praise the game for style alone but these entries drip with it. Plus the fact that they all tell slow but beautifully delivered stories about trust, friendship and dungeon crawling. It’s classic JRPG fun mixed with a healthy dose of visual splendour and that is tip top in the chip shop.
