Universal Studios Japan's Super Nintendo World only opened its doors this year but it's already getting an expansion.

A Donkey Kong area of the park has been announced and is due to open in 2024. Universal Studios Japan revealed that we will be getting a new roller coaster, shopping and dining areas.

Set in "lush jungles where Donkey Kong and his friends live", the land will also have "interactive themed entertainment".

Patents filed by Universal in the past show that the company has been looking at ways in which they could bring a Donkey Kong roller coaster to life, including appearing to jump the track.

We can't wait to see what the expansion looks like when it arrives in 2024.
