7 Things Nintendo's E3 Stream Secretly Told Us About The NX
3. Third-Party Support May Already Be Concerning
While the announcement of Just Dance for the Nintendo NX may sound like promising news, the context in which the announcement came could be reason for alarm. The Just Dance series has been a staple franchise on the Wii/Wii U, as it's a game that appeals heavily to the casual market.
That it's coming to the NX, then, shouldn't be particularly surprising. At the same conference at which this was announced, however, Ubisoft unveiled details on a bunch of new, upcoming (and very highly anticipated) titles, none of which were slated to release on NX.
Titles like South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Watch Dogs were confirmed for release on other consoles, but not NX. Even Ghost Recon Wildlands, which is set to release the same month as the NX, was not mentioned as an NX title.
Why would Ubisoft confirm release of one game on the NX and not others, if only because the games aren't coming at all?
