8 Hilarious Moments In Truly Disturbing Video Games

In a world where we might never get to experience Hideo Kojima's take on Silent Hills, Visage is a horror title that looks to fill the almighty gap left when P.T blew the horror market apart.

And it does so rather impressively might I add, offering players a truly tense and heart-racing experience with its well-crafted setups and scares. It's also a title not afraid to cut loose from time to time and embraces that horror/comedy one-two punch with gusto.

At this point in time, it's been well documented that the game contains a Silent Hill 4/dance party easter egg which proves to be at once a brilliant nod to its inspirations and a hilariously unsettling moment, but less is said about finally finding that damn shotgun.

If the player drags an almighty cross with them through one section of the game to use to bridge a gap in another, they will open a door to find something of a horror fan's wet dream. A glistening and gleaming shotgun; slayer of the undead and pump-action pal. However just as the DOOM music kicks in (quite literally) the trigger is pulled and out pops a comedy "Pow!" sign.

In that one moment, our hopes of apparent safety were utterly dashed and we were left with a hilarious example of the developer both laughing with and then at us very, very hard.
