1. The Boomerang (The Legend Of Zelda)
The Legend of Zelda's a series that needs no introduction all over the world. Its protagonist Link has many iconic facets to his character. Whether it's his timeless green tunic, his loyal horse Epona, the Master Sword or the fabled ocarina.
Links boomerang though has been an essential tool in his arsenal since the very first game The Legend Of Zelda (1986), and it's been a fan favourite since. It's one of his most useful tools ever too as, over the years, different iterations have been able to deal death to Deku Scrubs, daze and confuse castle guards and help with a wide range of puzzles.
As someone who prefers Link as his younger variant it's difficult not to become attached to the boomerang. My favourite iteration of it though has to be from The Wind Waker. Here it's capable of being used in the free flowing combat but its ability to cut up to five vines and ropes in one throw was endlessly satisfying and very useful in puzzles.
This creative and useful weapon is one that should never be overlooked when peeking into Links bomb bag of tricks and it's always a joy to use.
