8 Terrible Secret Video Game Weapons That Took Hours To Unlock

2. Excalipur - Final Fantasy XII

As joke weapons go, they don't get much more long running than the Final Fantasy's Excalipur, a cheap knock off of the almighty Excalibur weapon that you can also find in different forms across the franchise.

Mainly wielded by Gilgamesh the time travelling warrior of ages, the weapon is horrendously ineffective and will only do 1 HP's worth of damage to whatever enemy hit with the blade. This is especially annoying when you think you've gotten a free win but it dishes out this chump stick.

However, this is nothing to the feeling of paying 150LP on Final Fantasy XII to unlock the Excalipur for yourself as a weapon, as of course, it only does 1Hp damage. I know you're probably thinking to yourself well that's what you get for buying it, but when the weapon holds that whopping price tag you figure it's got to do SOMETHING, right? I mean, enemies outside of a few exceptions only drop 1LP each time you beat them so it's gonna take ages to scrape together the cash.

Well, more fool you for not trusting the evidence shown in other games because this one HP hitter is absolutely useless. If you want the real deal, well you're gonna have to work much, much harder than that for it.
