8 TV Shows That Would Make Awesome Video Games

2. Homeland

In recent years, the gaming industry has enjoyed a surge of female-led video games that have been massively successful.

From The Last of Us' Ellie to the revival of the iconic Lara Croft series, badass female characters are back in style and Homeland's Carrie Matheson would make a great addition to the trend.

Other than Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series and the occasional James Bond installment, there have been very few realistic secret service games, let alone games with dynamic female characters.

Homeland became a highly-decorated TV show largely thanks to it's characteristic edge-of-your-seat plots and high-stakes action.

The contrast in characters would allow for a variety of play styles, from Carrie's covert intelligence missions to Peter Quinn's assassinations, meaning there could be something to suit everyone.

One feature that would work brilliantly would be to put the life and death decision-making in the hands of the players with the outcomes affecting the narrative of the game. This would create knife-edge tension and allow for plenty of replayable action.
