8 Video Game Characters You Should NEVER TRUST

Betrayal, Backstabbing, and buckets of blood are just a way of life in the world of Borderlands, as even walking to and from the shops will likely see you robbing others for caps before blasting a few more in the face of the shopkeeper just because they were out of Mango Loco.

Life is worth less than pennies here and if there's treasure or loot to be had it'll be worth even less as louder-than-loud personalities all vying for the grand prize.

That being said there are a few characters within this mad, mad world, who seem to have enough wherewithal to hold down a pleasant conversation and help you for the betterment of all Pandora, and at first it seems that Captain Scarlett from the Borderlands DLC Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty will be a steady hand. That is right up until you actually read her introductory splash text

"Will absolutely stab you in the back"

Doesn't exactly bode well does it, especially when she sends you on numerous quests that involve gathering clues to the greatest treasure of all, and that many of these involve killing a tonne of other pirates, some former crewmates in the process.

Therefore when she finally did turn on the player it was a betrayal that feels like it should have come with a "told yah so!" added to it.
