8 Video Game Decisions NOBODY Made Their First Time
1. Upgrading The Starter Weapon - Ninja Gaiden
So here's a choice that I can honestly say nobody made their first time around, because unless they possessed precognition or had actually worked on the game itself, there was no way to know that upgrading the Wooden Sword would result in anything other than a giant waste of your time and money.
There's a good chance you'd buy the sword, as it's very rare for a game to offer an option to buy anything completely useless, but it's only upon unsheathing the weapon and getting chopped into kindling yourself that you will likely relegate this to your weapons cabinet and said cabinet to the bloody skip.
After all, this is Ninja Gaiden, a game that seems to enjoy rubbing its unwashed balls across your face and then charging you for the privilege, so you're going to want to invest in the heavy weapons and as much defence as you can on your first playthrough.
It's only after chewing down on this broken glass oatmeal experience that you will feel confident enough to give the Wooden Sword a bit of a rub, and it turns out that it's utterly insane, becoming the best weapon in the game and a weapon you'll kick yourself for not perservering and pulling the splinters out of your arse.
