8 Video Game Protagonists Who Would Be Better Villains

2. Agent 47 - Hitman

Few would profess Hitman's assassin protagonist Agent 47 to be a card-carrying hero - the man kills people for money, for heaven's sake, and even though many of his marks are ultimately awful human beings, it's a stretch to call him anything more than an anti-hero.

And 47 is so damn good at his job that it's easy to appreciate just how terrifying it'd be to have him assigned to your dirt nap.

With his basically preternatural ability to blend into just about any scenario - even with a barcode tattooed on his noggin, logic be-damned - and the endlessly creative means with which he can shuffle someone off their mortal coil, 47 is basically a force of nature unto himself.

He's tremendously fun to play as, then, but he'd also make for an absolutely terrifying stalker antagonist - a basically Terminator-like killing machine whose ability to infiltrate and eliminate without showing a flicker of emotion is virtually unrivaled.

Once 47 accepts a contract on you, you'll never rest easy ever again, but you also probably won't have too long to fret about it either.
