8 Video Game Sequels Sent Out To Die
1. Gravity Rush 2
There might be some people out there that have no clue about the Gravity Rush franchise as a whole, let alone its much ignored second instalment, which is precisely why Gravity Rush 2 is taking the top spot on this list, for outside of Titanfall 2, I can't think of a more deserving title that suffered such a maligned launch.
Releasing in the universal "deadzone" of games aka January and competing with the likes of Resident Evil 7 and Dragon Quest 8, a small-scale game of this nature never stood a chance and wasn't helped with a marketing campaign that didn't even seem to grace the internet. It's such a shame as well because the story of Kat and her gravity manipulating powers is an experience entirely its own, allowing players to fling themselves into the sky and hurtle around in a manner that can only be described as "falling with extreme style".
Couple this with a game world that's beautifully designed as it is to explore and you have the makings of what should have been a sure-fire hit, however thanks to a bungled release window and obtuse marketing throughline many missed this beauty entirely.
