8 Video Games You Had To Beat More Than Once To Understand

To call Shadow Of Memories a "bit of a weird game" is like saying Brock Lesnar is a "bit of a beetroot after about ten seconds of in-ring action" - quite the massive understatement.

In this absolute time and brain-bending thriller, you take control of a man who has the unfortunate pleasure of being killed all the bloody time, and yet thanks to the intervention of an otherworldly being, is able to shape his own destiny by hopping back in time and re-writing history.

As you can imagine, all of this time-hopping makes for some truly bizarre moments, including some rather humorous time paradoxes should your protagonist meet himself while trying to save...er...himself.

That being said, keeping track of all the spinning plates is exceptionally hard, and while the game is fairly linear despite its pretences as an open-world game, there are still eight bloody endings to see, two of which can only be gathered after watching all the other prior ones. Add to this that micro details of the plot are hidden in each of these playthroughs and you'll only truly be able to say you "got Shadows Of Memories" if you one hundred per cent completed it.

Plus the fact that the latter two endings are the only positive ones in the title means you'll actually want to see them if just to save yourself from the abject depression this game is laced with. Fun right?!
