3. Michael Madsen - The Walking Dead Season 2
Telltale's The Walking Dead has its own impressive gallery of antagonists - perhaps more impressive because of how many of them start out as heroes - but few are as immediately memorable as William Carver.
On paper, he is quite similar to The Governor from the show or comics the game was based on. The main difference is that the Governor is a bit over the top in comparison. You never see Carver sporting an eye patch or staring at a wall of preserved zombie heads. He is a more mellow and composed version of madness.
Michael Madsen is one of those actors who is well known enough to be A-List - certainly amongst Tarantino fans - but obscure enough that his voice is not immediately recognizable. With a rustic charm in his voice, there's something dangerous just beneath the surface, and hearing the voice of Mr. Blonde come out of Carver creates an immediate impression: He's going to snap at some point, and things are going to get ugly.
There is a fine line between voice casting creating suspense and spoiling it (for the latter, see Kevin Spacey in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare), and Telltale clearly knows the difference. We know Carver isn't a good person from the get go (he's named Carver, after all), but Madsen's voice functions like a ticking time bomb all the same.
