9 Brilliant Video Games Based On TV Shows That You Totally Missed
3. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle
There is no one among us that wouldn't recognise some iteration of the Power Rangers, whether we're talking about any of the recent series or the '90s classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
It may seem an odd choice for Bandai Namco to have given this the green light back in 2016, given that it's based on a show that went off the air in 1996.
A beat-'em-up arcade style side-scroller, the gameplay itself is a throwback to the '90s, but it is executed with such loving detail that it's hard not to find yourself enjoying the adventure that the Rangers embark upon.
Although its source material and colourful art style might seem as though it's aimed at a younger audience, Mega Battle comes with an interesting - if somewhat puzzling - difficulty spike after the first few levels.
Featuring the likenesses of the original 6 Rangers, as well as the show's main villains, Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, it takes players on an exciting trip down memory lane that's infectiously entertaining.
