Released in 2017, Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock is a 3D strategy game that takes players into the heart of the First Cylon War.

Giving you control of the Colonial Fleet from the bridge of Daidalos, you're tasked with freeing the Twelve Colonies from the Cylons. With four separate DLC releases, Deadlock has plenty of content for fans of the show to sink their teeth into.

Since the show ended way back in 2009, fans may have considered it long dead, but its cult following was enough for Slitherine Software to warrant Deadlock's development. Boy, oh boy, did they deliver.

With an emphasis on ship battles in the far reaches of space, Deadlock has been likened to XCOM, although without the franchise's grid-based restrictions. It's also completely gorgeous to look at.

Also praised for its challenging resource management elements and tabletop-like combat system, Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock was lauded as the game that a series as well-loved as BSG had always deserved.
