9 Franchise Revivals That Could Save The Xbox One
1. Fable
If I'm honest, Fable's gameplay wasn't all that groundbreaking. Combat was basic, the campaign short and the world didn't hold much in terms of exploration. Yet, it still became an iconic franchise. It was pure fun, a game that had a wicked sense of humour, a charming story and an ambitious eye for what makes the RPG genre entertaining.
However, a number of gimmicky titles commissioned recklessly by Microsoft saw the once great franchise descend into obscurity (Fable 3 didn't help matters either).
Yet, despite these mistakes, it could still be salvageable. Fans have been clamouring for a true sequel for years, and with the company's current lack of exclusive it appears now is the perfect time to ship the follow-up we deserve.
With a modern age face lift and some work on the combat, Fable could easily get back into the groove it so comfortably walked during its heyday. It's the kind of diverse exclusive that no other console has, and one that best encapsulates the fun factor Xbox used to be renown for.
