9 Secret Levels You Missed In This Decade's Biggest Video Games
2. Archdragon Peak - Dark Souls III
Back to FromSoftware for the last time (they really do have the coolest secrets), as Dark Souls III marked the team giving this franchise one hell of a send-off.
Unlike The Painted World of Ariamis or Cainhurst Castle, Archdragon Peak was featured heavily in the game's marketing - mainly because the secret boss here, the Nameless King, is a complete visual spectacle.
Riding a dragon and being a badge of honour for fans who can survive bringing him down, actually getting to Archdragon Peak requires learning the Old Dragon gesture, before using it in a specific spot inside the Boreal Valley prison.
It's a really old-school NES-level way of implementing a secret location, but boy is it worth it.
