9 Video Games That Let You Hilariously Troll Other Players

7. Dark Souls's Note System

While on the surface Dark Souls has a rather simplistic multiplayer system, essentially giving you the option of either invading another player's world to fight or help them, the scope for trolling is tremendous.

Because in between these more active systems, all of the titles in the series let you leave notes for other players that can either provide essential hints or ruin their day entirely.

Getting creative with the preset words and phrases at your disposal, one of the most basic trolls that always works is putting a note near a ledge inviting players to jump off to find treasure. Nine times out of ten players will probably do it, scorning your name afterwards.

While indirectly trolling is fun enough, you can also get creative by actually invading the world of another player to hamper their progression. By using the items in the world creatively you can cause mischief in another person's game, with players being known to do things like transforming into inanimate objects and hiding while a defender scrambles to figure out where they are.
