A New Soul Reaver Game in Development?

A rumour has surfaced today that we may be in for a treat as a new Soul Reaver game could be in the works. According to VG247, the possible Soul Reaver game will most likely be a reboot of the series that is being worked on by Crystal Dynamics. For those of you who don't know Crystal Dynamics made a lot of waves last year with their E3 trailer and demo of the Tomb Raider reboot they are developing. The websites' source claims the game will be a redesign of the series and include an updated art direction for the game. In addition, it is not clear if Raziel or Kain will be the main characters in the reboot or not. Apparently there was some speculation the game would be shown off at this years E3 but this might be too soon according to the rumor. Also it is not known how this new Soul Reaver game will fit in with the lore of the franchise, hell the game could feature a new protagonist all together. The Soul Reaver franchise is one of the more beloved franchises in gaming, but we have not seen or heard much from the franchise since 2003 when Legacy of Kain: Defiance was released.
