6. What Does Fruit Do?

Probably the first thing you'll do as soon as you shake your island's fruit from its trees - besides selling a bundle to the Nook Corporation - is eat it. A little counter indicates you can scoff up to ten of your particular produce, but what does it actually do?

Each piece munched gives your little villager a single round of super strength, which lets you perform some supernatural feats. Rocks can be smashed, trees dug up and replanted, and you'll even catch bigger fish. It's best not to go around your own island smashing everything like the Hulk, but instead save a bit of fruit for when out gathering with a Nook Miles Ticket. That way, you can preserve your own island's precious resources, and maximise the materials you bring back from abroad.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
