9. Listen To Character Dialogue To Know The Area Is Clear

A reason to forgo playing as a group of friends with constant chatter, you can use character dialogue to find out everything you need to know in any combat scenario.

Under siege from other players? Tap Down to activate the "warning" prompt and listen for what your character says. They'll point out precisely which weapon is being used against you, and sometimes how far away they are.

Better still, if you're embroiled in an intense close-quarters firefight, listen to your character giving the all-clear before looting or relaxing again. They'll say something like "Think that's the last of them!" or a variation thereof, and you'll likely miss it if you're talking with your teammates or don't have voice volume maxed out.
