Before moving on to the seventh villain, we should point out there arent any Riddler trophies in this game. This shows the master of Riddles hasnt become obsessed with Batman yet, so its possible the game might explain how the compulsion to prove himself better than the worlds greatest detective came about, allowing for a more sophisticated Riddler than the desperate and rather dishevelled one we saw in Arkham City. As a substitute for the Riddler trophies the game will include more villain side missions, each of which being extended stories opposed to the five minute levels we got in the previous title. The trophies were an enjoyable edition to the previous games so its a shame to see them go, but then again the Mad Hatter mission was one of the highlights of Arkham City for many, meaning the change perhaps isn't a bad thing after all.
2. Bane

Bane, whose heavy Spanish accent suggests he has only recently left his fictional birth-country of the Caribbean Republic of Santa Prisca, was revealed at E3 to be the games Assassin number 3, although his presence in the game was revealed by multiple sources around a week before. His appearance is vastly different from the other Arkham games, as you can see. This is likely because he hasn't yet become quite so dependent on the Venom steroid (a transition that doesn't fully occur until Joker forcedly pumps him full of the stuff in Arkham Asylum), so most of his strength is natural and he thus looks substantially less grotesque. In the trailer the Joker is blackmailing him into servitude with a detonator that has the word loyal printed on it. The ramifications of this through the story are not yet clear, though its a fantastic introduction to the Jokers menace and should be exciting to watch play out.
