Assassin's Creed Comet: 5 Most Believable Rumours We Want To Be True

4. A Voyage To Nova Scotia

Ubisoft spent a great deal of time and money in first delivering the ship-to-ship combat system as seen in AC3 and then perfecting it in Black Flag. It has been previously stated that they were looking to make further use of that part of the engine, although it was also claimed that it "wouldn't be applied to a boat". Throwing aside what constitutes a boat/ship entirely, the rumoured setting for Comet would allow for the engine to be reused once more €“ which would certainly make some fans very happy as the improvements to the system were very warmly received in Black Flag. The specific setting itself is one that might border on some locations seen before in the franchise, as it seems that a coastal Eastern United States setting is the location once again. However, the specifics of the setting would move the location further north to incorporate some areas of Eastern Canada as well €“ after all, in the real world there are connections between the Knights Templar and Nova Scotia, so why not make use of those at some point in the AC franchise? Unfortunately because similar locations have only just been visited recently in AC3, the fan reaction to that setting has been minimal compared to the reception that Unity's French Revolution background received.
