Assassin's Creed Valhalla: 10 HUGE Questions Ubisoft Must Answer

1. Where Could The Series Go Next?

Even with Valhalla’s release still fresh in our memories, a question that’s always asked with excitement after the launch of an Assassin’s Creed game is where the next entry will take fans next.

Throughout each game, the series has allowed us to explore and be a part of history. From the Crusades, Renaissance Italy, Ancient Egypt, and – of course – Viking Age England, the historical locations have always taken centre stage.

Speculation is already running rampant for when the next title will take place. Reportedly scheduled for release in 2022, rumours of the next setting have ranged from Feudal Japan (a setting fans have been hopeful for some time), Revolutionary Russia, India, Polynesia, Mongolia, and Medieval Europe.

Moreover, supposed online leaks of existing concept art have also suggested that the next Assassin’s Creed could be set in 13th century China during the Mongol invasion.

Each of these possible time periods has the potential to become another valuable addition into the Assassin’s Creed canon. But, for the time being, we simply don’t know what to expect from the future of this franchise.

Likewise, it will likely be a long time until we find out anything concrete about the next game either.
