10. A New Guardian Of Gotham?
Though Michael Lane may be a fellow protector of Gotham, he and his cohorts in the Order of St Dumas are far from enthusiastic about Batman's ways of crime fighting. Their views may align in certain areas, but their relationship is a far cry away from being the rosy one Bats shares with the likes of Robin and Oracle - and for good reason too. With rumours surrounding Batman's fate swirling rapidly in the run up to Knight's release, fans have already taken a few guesses as to who may take up the mantle of Gotham's most famous vigilante in the game's conclusions. Due to the fact that Azrael has taken over before (albeit under Jean-Paul Valley's name) in the titular Knightfall storyline, there may be a chance that Rocksteady could put an Arkham twist on the events surrounding it - much like Warner Bros. Montréal did to better fit Arkham Origins inclusion of Bane. It goes without saying that there will be some heightened tension between Wayne and Azrael, especially since their methods are very much incompatible with the other's. As Lane attempts to usurp Batman in Knight's events, could a so called 'Battle for the Cowl' be on the table?
