Batman: Arkham Legacy - 10 Villains We Want To See
1. Onomatopoeia
First appearing in Kevin Smith's critically acclaimed Green Arrow series before making his Gotham debut in Batman: Cacophony, Onomatopoeia is an entirely different kind of villain anybody seen in the Arkham series to date.
While most of Batman's villains have an idiosyncrasy - a 'thing' - Onomatopoiea's is truly unique.
Vocalizing the sounds of the various weapons he employs, and actively narrating his movements among the rooftops and alleyways with a "Whump" or a "Crash", this unnamed, faceless assassin ensures that a "Click" and "Bang" at the business end of a pistol, or the unnerving "Snick" as a blade finds its mark, is the last thing his victims ever hear.
Perhaps more frightening than his methods, however, is his biography.
For all intents and purposes, Onomatopoeia presents as just a normal, everyday guy who, following a day of costumed killing, goes home to eat dinner with his wife and play with his kids.
Chilling stuff indeed.
In the game, Onomatopeia would fill the role played by Deathstroke in previous entries; a formidable, masked, gun-toting opponent for Batman to take off the board.
