Battlefield 3 Patch Out Now For Xbox 360

Battlefield 3's latest patch comes to Xbox 360

Are you a big fan of Battlefield? Are you a big fan of patches? What about humongous Battlefield 3 patches? Well if you meet the preceding criteria then you'll love the recent patch that has been released fixing, well, what it seems like, everything. This patch is just for Xbox 360 users and it includes a 'rent-a-server' feature allowing consoles the advantage of dedicated servers. Don't worry the patch is not exclusive to Xbox 360 it's just the last system to receive it, with the PlayStation 3 grabbing it last Tuesday and the PC pulling it through on the Thursday of that week. Why they had been received in such a staggered release like this is uncertain; it could be something to do with certain stringent regulations for the Microsoft console or it could be to do with keeping release issues as separately as possible. But what we do know is what the patch contains, and it's a lengthy one so get your spectacles and mouse scroller ready and head on over to the official Battlefield blog. The changes are mostly gameplay tweaks that will hopefully make the game a fairer, more balanced and, most importantly, a more enjoyable one. Battlefield 3 is the latest in the major Battlefield series and, as a direct sequel Battlefield 2, it's set in the modern warfare environment including a full single-player campaign, an online co-op mode, utilisation of the infamous Frostbite 2 engine and is also available on console platforms. Battlefield 3 is out now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
