Brock Lesnar In Assassin's Creed Syndicate?
Easter egg or just the developers having a little fun?
Former WWE and UFC champion Brock Lesnar has turned up in the most unlikely of places - in concept art for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate. The latest game in the Assassin's Creed series, Syndicate is set for a fall release. The appearance of a character clearly resembling Lesnar was first noticed by Kotaku, and the evidence is pretty compelling: the character in question has a tattoo on his back almost identical to The Beast Incarnate. Even more interesting is who "Lesnar" is fighting in the game, at least in the screenshots released to date: a character with tribal tattoos very similar to those of Frank Mir, Lesnar's longtime UFC rival, and who he was linked to a fight with prior to deciding to hang up his MMA gloves for good and commit to the WWE from here on out. So, will this be an Easter egg staying in the game, or is this just the developers having fun with some concept art? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGQnE3G_N3g It should be noted that a person's likeness can (and generally must) be licensed, ergo Ubisoft would likely have to pay Lesnar if a character resembling him was to appear in the finished game. This issue came up just last month when UFC women's strawweight fighter Felice Herrig noticed that Mortal Kombat's Cassie Cage appeared to be based on her, complete with outfits/poses that she had previously been photographed in. Herrig at the time stated she was weighing her legal options. https://instagram.com/p/1ORp_yBjB4/ Either way, it's even more publicity for Lesnar, who has been on quite a roll thus far in 2015, despite having lost his WWE championship at WrestleMania 31.
