8. MW2 Had Cut Missions Set Aboard The International Space Station
Modern Warfare 2 might not have had the lengthiest campaign of all time, but it had a huge variety of locations crammed into its globe-trotting plot. From snowy Russian wilderness to the deadly neighbourhoods of the Brazilian Favelas, Modern Warfare 2 was something of a lesson in worldwide geography. Originally, the game was also set to feature an entire level set in outer space as well. Those who played through Modern Warfare 2's campaign may remember a short interactive sequence, in which an astronaut on the International Space Station witnesses the explosion of a ballistic missile, before being blasted off into space while the station is ripped apart. Prior to being consigned to just a minute-long sequence, the scene would have seen players taking control of the astronaut in a space battle of some sort. This was deemed to be too far-fetched for the series though, and was cut during development.
