Call Of Duty 2019: 11 New Leaks & Rumours You Need To Know
What do Activision mean by a new "multiplayer world"?
Black Ops IV did wonders to reinvigorate the ageing Call of Duty franchise, but even though that game - along with its insanely popular Blackout battle royale mode - is still chugging on with brand new DLC packages on the horizon, it hasn't stopped fans and players looking ahead to the future. Call of Duty 2019 won't be out until October at the earliest - and if history is anything to go on, won't even be formally announced until May - but it seems that everyone is itching to figure out just what Activision are cooking up.
That's partly down to the fact that there have been so many contradictory rumours and leaks swirling around Infinity Ward's mystery sequel. The studio have tried again and again to get a new sub-franchise off the ground to no avail, with both Ghosts and Infinite Warfare being relative disappointments. Consequently, there's far more uncertainty around what they're actually working on compared to the other developers on the series.
However, over the past few weeks, Activision have been surprisingly vocal about the upcoming release, telling shareholders at their recent financial conference call how well the title is shaping up, and even revealing a few new concrete details about the project's features. With that in mind, and the more believable rumours that have been doing the rounds, what Call of Duty 2019 is going to be is looking clearer than ever.
