A three-round burst tactical rifle, the ABR 223 is often thought to be slightly underpowered thanks to its relatively low damage. However, most enemies can be taken down in two to three pulls of the trigger. This may sound underpowered., but it’s actually fairly deadly when taking Black Ops 4’s increased player health into account.

This gun absolutely excels at mid-range, and players with well-built ABR 223 classes will find themselves outgunning all but the best assault rifles at medium range. Like the other guns in its class, the ABR 223 feels incredibly accurate, though the stats don’t seem to indicate it.

Again, most casual players will be likely to opt for an ICR-7 or Maddox RFB over this thing due to the comparatively lower learning curve and high damage of those guns. Yet, players willing to overcome some of the ABR’s shortcomings may find it to be a surprisingly lethal piece of equipment. Those looking to distance themselves from assault rifles will definitely want to try this gun out.
