Call Of Duty: Warzone - 10 Things Nobody Wants To Admit

2. Lack Of Map Changes

Why did Fortnite take over the world?

It was a combination of becoming uber-popular with kids, and then riding that wave by constantly refreshing and updating their map to make sure there was always something new to see.

Warzone, unfortunately, hasn't really followed that trend so far. The Verdansk map, four seasons in, is still pretty much the same old map you've been playing since the start (apart from the opening of bunkers, that is). There's a sort of meta-narrative going on throughout involving missions, ringing phones and nuclear warheads, but the map remains the same.

Rumour has it that for season 5, Warzone's map will actually be being updated with a new interior in the stadium, as well as a loot train which circles the map. This sounds like a good start, but it would be great to see COD going into Fortnite territory by making sweeping map changes (such as bursting the dam, which many players have thought would happen for a long time!).

We really hope the team at COD has something up their sleeve here. Warzone is great fun sometimes, but with more sweeping updates it has the potential to withhold player interest for a lot longer.
