Casting The Perfect Red Dead Redemption Film
1. Quentin Tarantino As Director And Writer
Now just because you are able to put together a great cast and crew, does not mean you are guaranteed a successful film. There are plenty of examples of studios going out of their way to assemble some of the best talent, only to forget that a film is only as good as its script and director.
For a film adaptation of Red Dead Redemption, it would need someone who can juggle all the different storylines and characters while also delivering an entertaining and cinematic experience that remains true to the source material. Red Dead is, of course, a western, but also has many memorable moments of drama, action and dark humour.
So it should come as no surprise whatsoever that Quentin Tarantino would be the first name on this, and many other peoples list for the job.
Tarantino has a successful list of films under his belt, such as his crime drama Reservoir Dogs and his spaghetti western Django Unchained.
Were Tarantino allowed full creative control of the film, there is no doubt that he would be able to make a faithful adaptation that would please fans of the games and film audiences alike.
