Born and raised amongst the Van Der Linde Gang for almost all of his childhood, Jack had to adjust to life on the road and developed a love for the outdoors and nature as a result. It is this conflict between Jack and John Marston where Noah Schnapp could be allowed to shine. After John has finished his business with Ross and the government, he tries to rekindle his relationship with Jack, leading to a few harsh words between the two, but also a few moments of endearment and bonding.

Schnapp has proven in both the film IT and the television series Stranger Things that he is able to talk about mature subject matter with a believable performance and would be able to handle the role of Jack Marston with ease.
