COD Black Ops 4: 10 New Features You Need To Know About

8. 5v5 Is The New Match Size

Forever striving to have the "perfect" online multiplayer experience, Black Ops 4 will reduce the size of teams once again from 6v6, to a tight-as-hell 5v5.

This change is apparently reflected in the maps, as all have been designed to keep the pressure on and allow for regular altercations when players come face to face.

Understandably this is riling up the community, as Call of Duty WWII was already 6v6 (as is Overwatch), but Ubisoft's runaway success Rainbow Six: Siege also has a 5v5 max team size, and has only gone from strength to strength.

Maybe Call of Duty's greatest strength is in refining its skillset and forcing encounters, rather than spreading it across labyrinthine maps to let campers reign supreme?
