Crackdown 3: Gameplay Footage To Debut At Gamescom 2015

Get ready to see shiny cars get thrown at even shinier pedestrians this August 4th.

Quite simply, Microsoft's saving of the Xbox One this year has been rather similar to salvaging a sunken wreck of a once great ocean liner, as if the 360 was a once-proud Titanic sailing the commercial seas and taking thousands of passengers along for the ride, the Kinect was the disastrous iceberg that ruptured the hull and sent everything hell-bound, the signs of life thereafter being few and far between. E3 saw Microsoft roll out backwards compatibility for an ever-increasing list of 360 titles, pioneer early-access titles on consoles with the Xbox Preview program, and ensure their 2016 slate was jam-packed with a hearty mix of fan favourites and newcomers all looking to make you invest in their X-embossed future. Right now (July 29th) we're only a week away from Gamescom in Germany (the public will descend on August 6th), and Microsoft seem primed and ready to make it the conference that defines the second half of this year - a recent tweet seeing Head of Xbox Phil Spencer essentially confirm Crackdown will shown be in playable form at their press event on the 4th. You can watch it live at 4pm GMT/UK time, but who knows if it'll then be playable on the show floor afterwards.

@TSobski Final Gamescom content review was today and things are becoming final. Lot's of nostalgia for me with the Crackdown gameplay.
