14. How To Nail The Starting Boost

Every kart racer has a different way of firing off the starting line at full speed, and CTR is no different.

Here though you're not timing a button press with the beats of the countdown itself, and instead focusing on your boost meter down in the bottom right.

Whether you use the Nitro-Fueled version or the classic, you want to hit accelerate and hold it so the meter maxes out WHEN the light goes green.

To reiterate: The boost meter will hang at full capacity for a half-second, and it's this window of time you want to match with the green light illuminating.
