Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
20. Papu Papu
Papu Papu has the honour of being the first ever boss in Crash Bandicoot. He was fairly forgettable, easy to defeat and more of an early-game tutorial.
He never comes back in a main series game, and here you can see why. He has a great track, but without that being taken into account, he’s very meh.
Here, he’s the second boss racer, so he doesn’t even retain his claim to fame.
He’s the lowest of the non Pit Stop characters, with a few of the microtransaction characters higher than him too, which is not a good sign.
As a part of the very first Crash Team Racing game, he obviously needed to come back, if for nothing else then for his sweet temple track. But if you told fans they had to cut one of the original lineup, they’d choose Papu almost unanimously.
Speed is a viable pick online, and he’s a bit different, so you might see people using him. It’ll be as ironic as Dollywood for those who are though.
