Despite having played through Dead Island 2's surprisingly dense single-player campaign and having accepted that my duds will never ever get that zombie stank out of them, I still can't believe Dead Island 2 is actually here.

With a development cycle rougher than having to put down your family dog with a brick and numerous delays turning all hope for this game into an undead apparition of its own, it seemed like everyone was moving their chips over to the "will never see the light of day" area of the betting table.

But oh, were we so wrong, as Dead Island 2 isn't just an (un)living, breathing zombie survival experience, it's a bloody good one at that...
