DOOM Eternal: 10 New Features We Can't Wait To Play
3. Hardcore Soundtrack
What screams demons, hell and satan more than fire and pentagrams? That's right. Metal. Hardcore metal. Doom would not be the same without Mick Gordons sublime soundtrack to back up the action.
Thankfully, Mick Gordon has returned to compose Doom Eternal. Entering a new arena or finding a new weapon to use just wouldn't be as satisfying if you didn't have the BFG Division to back it up.
Taking a moment to listen to the heart pumping metal supporting your rampage opens it up to just why it's so powerful. Of course, the metal is strong with this one but listening closely, influences from multiple genres from such vastly different backgrounds will come forward.
Dubstep beats can be heard under that guitar, providing such a unique temp and flow. Dirty, low end synth to enhance each bass drop moment. All of these things create a sound and style immediately identifiable as Doom.
Dooms soundtrack will go down in history as one of the greatest soundtracks of all time and there is absolutely no reason why Doom Eternal will be any different, especially if the little previews we've had in the trailers is the expectation for what's to come.
