E3: 10 Huge Nintendo Reveals You Need To See

1. Wii U€™s Zelda Embraces An Open World Map

It was the announcement most of us were waiting for - Nintendo finally used E3 to reveal their Wii U Zelda title! Whilst most of the details and the title are still secret, Zelda Nintendo has promised that the Wii U Zelda title will be a departure from the structured previous games, whilst still retaining the familiar level of puzzles, exploration and battle gameplay. For the first time in the series, Nintendo are embracing a sandbox structured landscape, allowing players the freedom to travel wherever they want on the map, with the option to finish scenarios in any order-a true departure from the series very linear style in the previous games. From the teaser trailer released during the presentation, this as yet un-named Zelda title looks beautiful, embracing the Wii U€™s vibrancy to full effect here. The style appears to be a mix between Wind Waker€™s cell-shaded design and Skyward Sword€™s watercolour detailing, two styles that appear to complement one another as demonstrated here. It is early days and we may not have any information as of yet, but it is comforting to know that Nintendo appears to finally be making some progress with this hotly anticipated title. Zelda fans have been waiting a long time for this. Presenting an brief but exciting glimpse in to what to expect, it€™s looking promising for this title so far, and maybe even Nintendo€™s low selling Wii U as a whole.
