9. Dead Rising 3€™s DLC

But sometimes those games are the dark horses we never see coming, and no one expected anything for Dead Rising to be announced at this year€™s E3, especially when a PC port of Dead Rising was already announced the week before the expo. But then, Capcom surprised everyone with a DLC pack that takes self-parody to almost Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon levels. Combining four player co-op with a costume pack based on Capcom characters wouldn€™t be all that special, but turning the DLC into a send up of old school arcade gaming was a stroke of genius. It€™s a kind of demented fun that most companies rarely show off in a press conference and provided a genuine surprise to everyone watching.
